Call for Nominations: 2018 Manitoba Philanthropy Awards

Winnipeg, MB - The Manitoba Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is now accepting nominations for the 2018 Manitoba Philanthropy Awards. These awards are celebrated annually on National Philanthropy Day to recognize the amazing impact that local individuals, groups and corporations have on our community through their gifts of time and money.

Pam Simmons, Chair of the Awards and Scholarship Committee for AFP Manitoba, explains the significance of these nominations, “This is a wonderful opportunity to identify those people in our province who turn their commitment and passion into making a difference. We are privileged to work alongside some of the most generous supporters in the country.”

Through eight categories, the Manitoba Philanthropy Awards are an opportunity to recognize emerging philanthropists and our dedicated community leaders:
  • Outstanding Philanthropist
  • Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser
  • Outstanding Service Group
  • Outstanding Philanthropic Organization (under 100 employees)
  • Outstanding Philanthropic Organization (over 100 employees)
  • Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (up to 15 years of age)
  • Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (16 to 25 years of age)
  • Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award
 
Nomination forms are available online at
www.mbphilanthropyawards.ca. Deadline for submissions is June 15, 2018.

Winners will be recognized at the Manitoba Philanthropy Awards luncheon on November 15, 2018 at the RBC Convention Centre.  National Philanthropy Day is an international celebration of the work of charities and the extraordinary impact that philanthropic giving, volunteering and social engagement have made on society.

The Manitoba Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals has been celebrating National Philanthropy Day for 18 years. The awards celebration in Winnipeg on November 15th, 2018 will be one of several events taking place to commemorate this important day.
