DMM Energy is hiring for a local, and knowledgeable Sales Representative.
The Sales Representative will actively prospect the region for sales growth opportunities through new and existing customers, using the different company tools and programs for this purpose.
Working Relationships:
- Reports directly to Chief Sales Officer
- Operationally works with Regional Manager, and Logistics Coordinator.
- Collaborate with all departments to develop and present opportunities and/or offers to customers.
- Develop and build relationships with existing and prospect customers.
Responsibilities:
Will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Maintain and develop existing and new clients through appropriate proposals and sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction
- Actively seeks new sales growth opportunities with existing and potential customers.
- Increase sales volume through direct sales efforts, such as cold calling on key clients, preparing quotes and proposals and with follow-ups
- Address client inquiries and quoting prices in a prompt and accurate manner
- Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions
- Develop strategies to overcome or eliminate obstacles that may hinder effective sales.
- Advise clients on best practice methods for product utilization
- Develops proposals for customers, using DMM’s tools and programs to close the opportunity.
- Actively monitors market conditions and competitive environment and reports findings to management.
- Works to exceed overall customer’s satisfaction.
- Manage initial customer complaints and escalates to management for support.
- Plan/carry out/support marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales, integrate sales efforts with other organized marketing activities (product launches, promotions, advertising and exhibitions)Helps provide input to management for annual sales plan.
- Maintains a sales opportunity pipeline and periodically reviews with management.
- Shows initiative for supporting team members and provides back-up to peers during their vacation period.
- Keeps a high level of respect and care for customers and co-workers at all times.
- Follow all health and safety company and clients standards and procedures.
- Willing and able to travel. This role is required to be on the road in front of customers at minimum of 3 days a week.
- May be assigned other duties as required.
Education and Skills
- Technical Degree or Diploma; preferred or equivalent sales experience.
- 3-5 years sales experience, fuel sales an asset
- Highly motivated, results oriented, high energy team player that interfaces well at all levels within the organization demonstrated through well developed interpersonal skills
- Proven success in prospecting and developing a business strategy
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and presentation skills are a must.
- A valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.

- Proficiency in video conferencing software i.e. Zoom, Microsoft Teams.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
