Technical Director — Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium (Brandon, MB)

Brandon Centennial Auditorium Corporation Inc. (DBA: Western Manitoba Centennial Auditorium) is hiring a Technical Director to lead the safe, professional technical delivery of live events at our multi-use performing arts venue.

What you’ll do

• Advance performances and rentals; translate technical requirements into staffing and execution plans

• Supervise our Full-Time Senior Theatre Technician and coordinate a casual, event-by-event non-union crew

• Lead load-ins/outs, rehearsals, performances, and changeovers

• Maintain venue technical standards and oversee system readiness (lighting/audio/video/rigging/stage operations)

• Champion safety, training, and effective supervision consistent with Manitoba workplace safety expectations

Hands-on + Growth: As a small institution, you’ll sometimes be hands-on operating or providing technician support. Our goal is to grow toward a model where the Technical Director primarily leads/oversees, with operators (including the Senior Tech and casual crew) delivering the show under your direction.

What you bring

• 3–5+ years’ live event/technical theatre experience with leadership responsibilities

• Strong technical depth in at least one discipline and working knowledge across others

• Calm problem-solving under pressure, excellent communication, and safety-first mindset
