Friday Coffee @ the Chamber - International Women's Day

Join us for the second annual International Women's Day themed Coffee @ the Chamber. Local businesswomen and entrepreneurs have been invited to attend as special guests. This is a casual event, with no formal agenda, where local issues are discussed. It is a good chance to meet, share, and learn about our local businesswomen and resources available. 

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. International Women’s Day is a time to reflect on progress made, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities. IWD 2016 marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity to advance women in the workplace. Accelerators have been identified to change the trajectory of women's advancement:

• Illuminate the path to leadership: make career opportunities more visible to women
• Speed up culture change with progressive corporate policy
• Build supportive environments and work to eliminate conscious and unconscious bias
