The perfect time to help our community grow!
Endow Manitoba 24-Hour Giving Challenge
Brandon Area Community Foundation encourages residents of Brandon and Southwestern MB to make a gift on November 17th as part of the Endow Manitoba 24-Hour Giving Challenge. On that day only, The Winnipeg Foundation will stretch gifts made to the Community Fund. (For every $5 contributed, both The Winnipeg Foundation, and the Province of Manitoba provided $1 for each $5 raised from other sources, up to $2,000.) Online gifts can be made securely through www.endowmanitoba.ca. Contact Brandon Area Community Foundation for more giving options.
“This is a great opportunity to support Brandon Area Community Foundation,” says General Manager Laura Kempthorne of Brandon Area Community Foundation. “Of course, we welcome gifts at any time, but giving on November 17th will help our foundation and means extra support. We’re so excited to see what our community can accomplish!”
Gifts made on November 17th will help grow Brandon Area Community Foundation’s capacity to support a wide range of charitable projects in Brandon and Southwestern Manitoba for generations to come.
Donations to a community foundation are pooled and permanently invested. Gifts are never spent and the money will always stay in the community. Every year, these investments generate money that is distributed to support local charitable needs. Community foundations provide support that lasts forever.
With 54 community foundations, Manitoba is home to more of these organizations than any other area of the country. Every year, these foundations invest millions of dollars into a wide range of local charitable projects. They help ensure our hometowns are vibrant and thriving.
