About Brian Palister
Brian Pallister is a businessman, Canadian Politician and the 22nd Premier of Manitoba.
Brian attended the University of Brandon, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts and Education Degree. He began his professional career in education but quickly transitioned to the Financial Services industry. In 1980, Brian started Pallister Financial; a business that has successfully helped thousands of Manitobans with personal, family and business financial planning for over 35 years.
With an economic downturn in his hometown of Portage la Prairie, Brian entered public life in the early 1990s to affect change and to make a difference. Since then, he has held a variety of portfolios in both the federal and provincial governments, spanning a political career of nearly three decades.
As Premier, Brian is committed to restoring the province to fiscal balance, strengthening the provincial economy, and improving outcomes in health care and education.
With each provincial initiative, Premier Pallister and his team of MLA’s are working to establish Manitoba as Canada’s most-improved province and to restore hope and optimism for the future for all Manitobans.
Brian and his wife Esther have been married for over 30 years and have 2 daughters.
